Are Bi-Fold doors on the pool hall wall a good idea?

Bifold doors with the very high thermal insulation standard required in a pool hall to stop condensation are very costly.

When they are open the environmental control system in the pool hall will need to be shut down so that the air inside the pool hall is replaced by the warm air from outside - otherwise there would be no point in opening the doors.

After a shut down of say 8 hours it will take several hours for the environment in the pool hall to stabilise and this will increase energy costs.

There may be only two or three days in the English summer when you are at home and want to do this.

So it is difficult to justify the cost and difficulty in installing the bi-fold doors.
